Representatives from the Board of School Directors and Neshaminy Federation of Teachers met at a negotiating session on September 24, 2008. The meeting included a presentation from Independence Blue Cross as discussion continued to focus on health benefits. Both sides are now awaiting further information from Blue Cross to assess the costs of alternative health care proposals.
The next meeting is scheduled for November 13.

Negotiations Update
Representatives from the Board of School Directors and Neshaminy Federation of Teachers met at a negotiating session on September 3, 2008. This was the 11th meeting of the parties since January, including three meetings conducted in front of a State-appointed Fact Finder in the Spring.
This was also the third meeting since July in the presence of a State mediator. The focus of these latest meetings has been on health benefits. The Board has continued to push for changes which will lower health care expenditures that have a major impact on the District’s budget.
